Cloud storage works well for the Legacy Family File. I've used Dropbox. You just have to have the sync folder on the computers - Legacy accesses the files through that folder and not directly from the cloud.
Unless your pictures are in the C:\Legacy\Pictures folder on both computers, Legacy might have some problems connecting with them since the file paths will be different on each computer if they're in Documents. Maybe even if they're in the SkyDrive folder, since that's under the user name path.
