I have been trying out the feature in Legacy of attaching documents related
to individuals  [eg transcriptions of certs, Wills, etc] directly in htm,
pdf or docx format.

In PAF I could only attach plain text documents. So that meant converting
everything into plain next –a bit of a pain and hard to keep anything like
the original formatting.

However, I find that whilst I can indeed attach them in Legacy, I can’t
print them in reports. And that’s the way I usually share them with other
researchers and family members.

I asked Legacy Support about this. They suggested I should put a place
holder in the report where I wanted to print the document and add the
document later manually. [I hope I have understood them correctly.]

This is not of course what I was hoping for.

I wondered if anyone had found a more direct way of adding source
documents to individuals so that they print correctly in reports?

Many thanks

Robert
