Just curious but what leads you to believe that v8.0 is “so close”? As I understand it, there is no official release date. That could mean days, weeks, months, or even longer than a year. Or did I miss something about an expected target date?

Like all users, I am not in a position to know about the final construct of the database of V8.0 compared with V7.5, but in general, when a new version of any program is so close I would not recommend making significant changes to a current database. This is just my practise, sometimes I may as well have carried on, at others I have been very happy that I held back.
