Thank you so much for this information, Wendy. I will be following this up as
soon as our desktop computer comes back from the repair shop. I think your
advice will be the answer.

Joyce.

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] LEGACY ON TWO HOME COMPUTERS

Hi Joyce,

"Can I set up a home situation where I have Legacy installed on both my desktop
and laptop computers..."

Yes you can do that, but...

"...so that the two computers can be used at the same time for Legacy data
entry, but the Legacy data being entered into both goes into one “master”
Legacy programme?"

No, you can't do that.

Your Legacy database can be open on only one computer at a time.

You can put the Legacy file into a folder that is shared with another computer
via cloud storage (such as Dropbox), so that when you open the file on either
computer (assuming it's closed on the other computer) you are opening the
current and up-to-date file.

You might also like to look into "intellishare" in the Help files - if you're
wanting to collaborate with another person, that might fit your needs.

Hope this helps. :-)

Wendy
