Legacy is restructuring correctly how and where Legacy should be installed as per the Windows convention. You will still be able to install Legacy where you want but certain parts of the program will end up these other locations. Under the User profile you will find is where Legacy places all the changes you want to keep as it won't write to the install directory (c:\Program Files OR c:\Program Files(x86) )

In C:\Legacy I also have a folder called Family Search with many of the same file names, and a few more. I am a user of Family Tree integration. So, to summarize, I have folders with similar content; C:\Legacy\Family Search C:\........(username)\Legacy Family Tree\Legacy FS I would rather not have anything under my user profile. I've found a Legacy Family Tree folder, with a subfolder Legacy FS in 'My Documents' under my user profile. I think it just appeared with the latest update and Family Search Family Tree integration. The normal default setup for Legacy data is C:\Legacy\Data. Is there any problem if I move the Legacy FS folder into C:\Legacy\Data? (Actually, I have my Legacy Data folder in a separate data partition, but the concept is the same) Paul Gray Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
