I read that and was thinking "But we really need separate fields for Birth Registration and Death Registration, not just labels" and then, of course, I realized that there is nothing stopping us creating a Registration Event and using that, instead of putting Registration information into the Birth & Death fields as I have been doing up to now. Up to now, when I don't know a Birth/Death date I have entered the Registration date, eg March Q 1850, and updated this to the actual date when I discover it, leaving the Registration Source attached. Now have to think about whether I want to update everything to accommodate Registration Events! One snag is only being able to display 5 fields on Family View. 7 would be ideal: Birth, Birth Registration, Baptism/Christening, Death, Death Registration, Burial/Cremation, FamilySearchID. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
