Leon might be able to explain better,

This is a feature of Legacy Deluxe......make sure to read the help on
"Create Custom Internet Search"

If you go to Internet>Search Internet for current person>
the name of the current person will appear in several field boxes for data.
Some of these data fields can be sent along with the "search string" when
requesting the database search, to save you time in having to enter that
data.

Ancestry.com is usually one of the 'default sites' that displays in the
popup box.
If you click on "Customized Searches" and then on Select next to Ancestry
name, select Ancestry.com from the list and click edit,
you can "edit' the search string that gets set out to ancestry.

Simply enter the string Leon sent to me.....

http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?gl=ROOT_CATEGORY&rank=1&new=1&so=3&MSAV=0&msT=1&gss=ms_r_f-2_s&gsfn=[GivenNames]&gsln=[Surname]&msbdy=[BirthYear]&uidh=g1k

Close the box and back out to the family view page.

Now, click on Internet>Search for current> make sure the radio button is
selected for ancestry and click search.

The first name of the persons will be automatically filled into the
[GivenNames] the last name into the [Surname] and the year of birth into
the [BirthYear]
thereby narrowing your search from the start...

You dont need to worry about the other info, its just data needed for the
search string to process quickly thru ancestry.

Hope that helps....

Jay
