Thanks to everyone who gave me pointers on how to correct the listing and
wording on the Descendant Narrative report.

I really didn't lie or fib on the report. When Janet married Nick L. I
added his 3 children from a previous marriage ( I believe this is what
singhals advised) and then marked Janet as the "Adoptive" parent. (as Mike
suggested)

Then when I clicked to make the report, I clicked on the "Report Options"
button on the bottom of the page. On the next page lower right, the box is
by default not checked, I checked it. It now changes the wording from "had"
to "has" when listing the kids. Perfect! Just what I was looking for and
Janet and Nick are very pleased with the way the report reads now.

So, this problem has been solved. Thank you to all.
