I am not at all clear as to what you mean when referring to the female tree.

This may be because I tend to think in terms of mtDNA when considering a female 
tree. In my scenario the female line is always passed from mother to daughter 
down the line.

Which is why I cannot see why you switch to a daughter's father and not her 
mother.
