Using Win7 Home Premium 32-bit. Legacy 7.5 already in C:\Legacy. I see that the installation program will require Administrator rights from UAC, and that the default installation location is C:\Program Files\Legacy8. That's a good start :-) C:\Program Files\Legacy7 should have been where 7.5 went in the first place. I also note that the default data folder is no longer C:\Legacy\Data, but \My Documents\Legacy Family Tree. Again, something that could have been done earlier in the evolution of the product. Problem 1 ========= I couldn't find the Customize icon! It Wasn't on the ribbon. So I uninstalled so that I could try from scratch again. Reason for no icon: didn't complete the Guided Setup wizard. Ribbon was very incomplete. Problem 2 ========= Uninstallation left a lot of files around in \Program Files\Legacy8 - SOME 138Mb of files But... Got there eventually :-) -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg (g) Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
