I've been using Avast free with Legacy. Avast 2014 initially did some sort of deep scan a few times but since then hasn't made a peep about Legacy files.
The previous Avast sent up a warning. Not exactly a false positive as it didn't claim it had found a virus - just a file that may be a problem. Like Ron, I'm a beta tester. The solution may be to update Avast.
