Not sure if this is right place, but good to know if it is happening to anyone else.
I just clicked on the Legacy Home tab. Nothing was listed under Legacy News, but there a sentence telling me I had to be connected to the internet (my computer is always connected). I clicked on that sentence and received the error below as Legacy crashed/closed. This is the second time it has happened (two different computers): Run-time error '-2147024726 (800700aa)': Automation error The requested resource is in use After this I reopened Legacy 8, and Legacy News on the Legacy Home Tab was populated properly.
