You can modify this somewhat at Customize item 3.8. Instead of the "§" and “+”
to indicate spouses and additional descendants, you can have bolded child
numbers to indicate those with spouses, and underlined child numbers to
indicate those with further descendants. Can also turn on/off the “*”
indicating the preferred child and bolding of the direct line child.

?A "§" at the end of a child means that person is married but has no children.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Children with 'double 's's????

I can't find what this means in the help file...

Some of the children for a man who was married twice have a symbol at the end
of their name that looks like 2 "S"s on top of each other. It's a 'squiggly'
looking thing,

I have tried unlinking the wives and children and reconnecting everybody but no
matter what I do that symbol is still there.

Can anybody tell me what it means and how to fix it?

Thank you,

Elizabeth
