You can modify this somewhat at Customize item 3.8. Instead of the "§" and “+” to indicate spouses and additional descendants, you can have bolded child numbers to indicate those with spouses, and underlined child numbers to indicate those with further descendants. Can also turn on/off the “*” indicating the preferred child and bolding of the direct line child.
