Yep. Same thing here. I just deleted all my connections to FamilySearch
because I prefer to hand it over entirely in one piece--if I do. You get the
Ancestry.com ******** who stop by and snatch up what they can just to add more
numbers to their tree. I didn't spend the last 40 years compiling and
researching family history to give away to people who have no respect for what
they are stealing.

By the way, I tried to "fix" some of the data on FS and it didn't. It just
added to it. When I deleted my connections, the information I provided stayed
there so I am assuming you have to go in manually and delete it. No fault to
FS, but there are thieves who just want to add what they can to their Ancestry
trees like it's a game. I can't tell you how many times I've contacted these
people and asked them to remove the erroneous information they have posted
because I know my direct ancestors very well and know they do not belong with
their families. They never respond. This is why I don't like public family
trees. I'm looking into copyrights, but because so much data is from other
sources this could be complicated.

Sharing is one thing; stealing is another. Just because it's on the internet
doesn't mean it's free.

ahh ok thanks

I choose not to integrate with family search - I've placed brand new people
there only to have others come along and "mess them up" and attach them to
wrong people.
I gave up trying to correct the data **sad**

Sorry - Legacy Family Search and Legacy Family Tree. You’ll get Legacy FS if
you integrate with Family Search (Options 1.8)

feel like asking what is the difference between Legacy FT and Legacy FS - or is
that something that should be obvious?
