If your quick access toolbar is showing below the command ribbon, click the
little pulldown arrow and click on Show Above the Ribbon. This will move it up
on space in the page title line, and out of your useable space. If you have no
icons/functions in the quickaccess toolbar, all that should be left is the
little pulldown arrow up next to the big blue L.

It does not, however, minimise the quick launch toolbar.

The best I can do with that, is to remove all the icons.

Do you know you can minimise the Ribbon? Arrow on the right.

Let me clarify...
I would like to be able to switch off the quick launch toolbar and replace it
with the "My Toolbar" and not show ANY other toolbars.
If we are going the modern route then toolbars should be able to be set on or
off and positioned where you want them.

Only one and no clutter by any others.

Alan,

There is a limit to the number of items on the Quick Access Toolbar - the
little one top left - of 10 items.

The equivalent to the 7.5 toolbar is the My Toolbar Ribbon.

I've just put 36 icons on it - how many do you want?
