I installed Legacy 8 on my laptop a couple of days ago and unlocked the Deluxe version.
Today I decided it was time to update the software on my desktop so downloaded the free version of Legacy 8 and was expecting the need to enter my Deluxe Customer # to unlock Deluxe on that computer. Imagine my surprise when it opened for the first time with Deluxe unlocked. I don't remember this being the case in the past? So far I am loving just about every new change I've encountered. I was anxious for shared events and expected to use it in recording census data. But since we can't edit the description field for each participant, those plans are going to have be reevalulated for my person preferences. Everything else seems like great improvements. My biggest complaint is that I didn't use Legacy when I first started computerizing my family files.
