Those GeoDatabase files are where you state along several more sets scattered over the computer.
BUT - they have no relevance to the GeoDatabase Legacy 8 is using. They appear useless. Try this - move those files (they are just text) out of the folder say to your desktop - then open legacy and use the geo database & it will pull up data.
