If you didn't save a Legacy 7.5 backup, you can always export to GEDCOM from Legacy 8. Just select Legacy as the source. I've done this a few times already and it comes out fine with all my image links intact.

If you use the new defaults you can have Legacy 7.5 and Legacy 8 installed at the same time. You can't use the same database in both versions. If you have converted your files by opening them in Legacy 8 using the option to open where they are, then unless you've got a current backup of your file(s) you'll have to stay with Legacy 8 - but hopefully you DO have backups. If so you can restore them in 7.5. Legacy 8 is designed to be installed in the Program Files as it came up in the install process. You've followed old installation instructions. Legacy no longer writes to the Program Files when you are using it so that's the best place for the Program. Legacy 8 keeps the user settings which used to go to the Program folder now in the folder: My Documents/Legacy Family Tree/_AppData. That folder cannot be moved. The default for your database files is My Documents/Legacy Family Tree/Data - but you can keep them where you like but since you have to use the My Documents/Legacy Family Tree folder for the AppData, you may as well use this folder as well. The default for your attached media is My Documents/Legacy Family Tree/Media - but again they can be wherever you like. You may want to get your IT expert to uninstall and reinstall. The print for the Chronology View is under the Options button.
