Brian and Leon

Leon is correct. However, there is a slight difference in a Legacy 7 .cis file
and a Legacy 8 .cis file. Here is an example:

Legacy 8

Version 8.0.01

http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=ssdi&rank=1&new=1&so=3&MSAV=1&msT=1&pcat=BMD_DEATH&gss=ms_r_db&gsfn=[GivenNames]&gsln=[SurName]&rg_81004010__date=[BirthYear]&rg_81004030__date=[DeathYear]&dbOnly=_F00032DD|_F00032DD_x&uidh=7t6

[ ]=[+]

Legacy 7

Version 4.0.02

http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=WebSearch-4120&rank=1&new=1&so=3&MSAV=1&msT=1&gss=ms_r_db&gsfn=[GivenNames]&gsln=[Surname]&msbdy=[BirthYear]&msddy=[DeathYear]&dbOnly=_F0006AA9|_F0006AA9_x&dbOnly=_F000578C|_F000578C_x&dbOnly=_F0006AAA|_F0006AAA_x&uidh=7t6

[ ]=[%20]

As you can see the version number is not the same. It will work if you change
the version number to Version 8.0.01.

Brian:

In your Legacy 7, the files you need to copy are located in the following
directory:

C:\Legacy\iSearch\

All the search files end in *.cis

Copy all of the *.cis files and paste them into the following L8 location:

..\user\Documents\Legacy Family Tree\_AppData\iSearch\

You may want to make a backup of the L8 *.cis files before you copy your new
files into that area.

Hello,
In Legacy 7, I had several customized searches set up.
Is it possible to use to use those searches in Legacy 8?
If so, where in the Legacy7 folder is the file and where should it go
for Legacy 8?
    Thank you,
      Brian
