I am afraid that you supply too little information for constructive answers to 
be given, so:

Do you still have your 7.5 files and program? If so are the missing people in 
there (when viewed in 7.5)?

What method, in detail, did you use to transfer the files from the 7.5 to 8.0 
file locations?

But, to answer your question, I have no trouble in making the transfer - and 
because I test, I copy a new one (Win 7 using the drag option) for every update.
