Prior to Legacy 8, I could enter "D M YYYY" even though my PC is on 
"YYYY-MM-DD" and Legacy was displaying "MMM D, YYYY".

Since the input order had to match the computer setting, this option is now set 
automatically from your computer settings.
The setting for your computer can be seen in the System Tray with the clock and 
can be changed in Regional Settings.

The display can be anything you like but the input order has to be the same as 
the computer setting.

In 7.5 this is written above the option where you set the input order.

Are you saying that you could use a different order to the computer setting?
