I'm using Legacy 7.4.0.45 and an quite happy with it. I prefer to keep my tree plain and simple and have found that this version, along with LTools, provides just about everything I could ask for. I'm not an "upgrade for the bloatware bells and whistles" person hence my satisfaction with the older version. I do find all the references in Legacy to USA places and event styles, counties, etc. as clutter as none of my ancestors came from the USA in recent history and wish I could delete them. But such is the story of any non-American with software.
It does stand to reason too that I'm seeing the downside of V.8 on this list, but nothing I've seen so far would induce me to upgrade. I understood that a planned tie-in for non-LDS members where their tree could be updated almost automatically upon connection with the LDS, or something of that nature, was to be included in 8. That might persuade me to upgrade but if it has been included, nobody has had any problems with it yet. Can anyone give me one good reason for upgrading? What is the number one (only) reason they're glad they upgraded.
