Is the source assigned to the correct event? For example, if you are expecting the source symbol to appear against an Occupation event, but you have the source assigned to the Birth event - or event to the field for "Unassigned Sources", the source symbol wont appear against the Occupation event where you expect it to.
If it was me, I would try this procedure. Go into Assigned Sources, Copy the source to the source clipboard. Now, remove the source. Now open the event that the source should be assigned to and then open the source area Now, without doing anything else, paste the source - it should now be attached to the event you want it to be. Close out of the sources and check the event while it's still open - source symbol changed? If yes, Good. Close out of Event window. Source icon present next to event? Yes good - no *throws hands in air, I don't know* HTH On 28 December 2013 17:03, Kim Jones <[email protected]> wrote: > On 28/12/2013 1:59 AM, Jenny M Benson wrote: > > On 27/12/2013 14:13, Kim Jones wrote: > >> So I have just cited a master source and then entered a new source for a > >> birth index that I found, but in the individual information on the new > >> events/facts where there are symbols for either sharing/sources > >> pictures/PP there is no source showing. > >> > >> I've checked and rechecked to make sure the master source is correct and > >> checked my event source.
