Until recently I have never considered a person "the end of the line." I always held out hope. That is until yesterday when I found this baptism record...
"22 Oct 1815 William Postle, of Shotley Bridge, illegitimate son of Mary Postle (single woman)" I don't think it is likely that I will learn the identity of somebody who was omitted in history. And who is to say the mother even knew the father's name! Anyway, I have also been thinking about how to handle the end of the line. I know using descriptive terms is frowned upon, but feel it is just with mentioning. Heck, I'm not even sure what term I would use! "Corporeal Partner" as a possible name entry with Never Married selected and then add the baptism transcription in the notes. This way the father & mother details appear in the same generation of the report. Does anyone know how to show an end of line in Legacy 8. Done a little research on one of my families and it's showing 'end of line', I will keep researching but was wondering. I have used my # 5 tag to show an end of line family but is there a better way?
