On the advise of group members, I was able to merge several files that I
had because I was worried that I had updated the wrong one here and there
and I didn't want to lose anything. The Intellimerge seemed to work pretty
well and I was able to go through the ones that couldn't be automatically
merged pretty easily. Very nice feature!

I have run into one problem in my new, updated database: I am seeing
duplicate marriages and I'm having to go into each and 'unlink' the
individuals. For instance, a married couple will show up as having 2
marriages to the same person and I have to change both individuals and
'unlink' them. I worry about unlinking the wrong relationship and then
having to recreate everything and am hoping there might be a better way to
identify and fix this duplication.

These are not two individuals that need to be merged, it's only the
marriage that is duplicate; as if someone just married the same person
twice.

Hopefully that makes sense. Otherwise, I suppose I will just unlink as I
run into each one. I'm hoping to fix this before downloading my version 8
upgrade. I was waiting to do the intellimerge so I could just open my one
good database in Version 8. Or maybe Version 8 has a feature that would be
helpful for this duplicate marriage issue?

Thanks everyone! Happy New Year!! Kathy
