Have you checked your master locations list and verified your short location
names. Sounds like maybe in the transfer all the short location names got
reset to match the long location names. I know when a new location gets
created, the short is just set equal to the long. If the master location list
got rebuilt rather than transferred, it would result in the short names being
the same as the long.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Can't Use Short Place Names in Legacy 7.5 Charting

I recently transferred my Legacy 7.5 Deluxe (version 7.5.0.278) program and
data to a new PC. The old computer was running Windows XP/SP2 (32-bit); the
new computer is running Windows 7 Pro/SP1 (64-bit.) Now, on the new computer,
in Legacy Charting (version 7.5.129.976), I can't use short location names in
any of the charts. Checking the box for this option in the Legacy Options
dialog box (Help & Options tab --> General (Options) --> Legacy chart Options)
has no effect; only long location names appear in the chart boxes. This issue
didn't exist on the old computer. How can I fix this problem?

Thanks!

Todd
