In Legacy 8 I have just set Option 7.4 to Default of Off, as I had it in Legacy 7.5, because it was really annoying me that the Detail Screen kept popping up until I remembered that I could switch it off.
But it occurred to me that the prompt, when set to On, occurs too late. The sequence is: 1 Enter Source Details. 2 Copy Source to Clipboard. 3 Paste Source Clipboard. 4 The Source Detail screen appears with a ticked checkbox for Prompt for detail. If you don't want to set the default of Off, but want to be able to choose sometimes to be prompted, you want to be prompted at the time of Copying to the Clipboard. If you could choose at that point, you could UNtick the box then happily roam around your family file going Paste, Paste, Paste without interruption.
