I am trying to update a current file (#1) with information from a second file (#2). I have the two open in a split screen. To add the information to the first file I do the following:
1. Open the individual in #2, Save 2. Open the individual in #1, click on the field name I want to update, and say 'Yes' to 'Replace contents..' and Save. 3. Add the source information to file #1 All works well for a while then I cannot add a source to file #1 - at this point I discover that BOTH files displayed are now #2. The titles on the two windows have not changed. I then get an error message saying that the Individual cannot be found. I have to close 'the' file, as there is now only one open, reopen both files, find my place, and continue on until it happens again. This has happened several times now. I could drag the name across and merge however I prefer to do the names one at a time as there is some information that I don't want to transfer. Am I doing something wrong, or have I discovered another bug.
