I am in the UK and so am set up to input dates as dd/mm/yyyy . When I use the
"search internet" option the dates of birth and death are displayed correctly.
E.g. my father was born on 12 July 1915 and the birth date is displayed as
12/7/1915 on the Search the Internet screen - this is using V8 build 381. Where
is the date input format set? The options for dates (section 5) only seem to
deal with how dates are displayed, not how they are entered.

Subject: [LegacyUG] BUG: Search Internet

The bug with the invalid dates is still present in the Internet Search selection
screen.

When selecting the person to be the subject of the search, a Search Selection
screen appears with details extracted from that person and the ability to direct
the search towards a particular web-site. This screen is wrong!

I, being part of the world outside of the USA, use the UK date format and have
elected to show dates as dd Mmm yyyy - no chance of any confusion with a
US-style date. On the Search Selection window, a date (29 Jul 1859) is displayed
as 07-29-1859.

Bug 1: This date format should, I believe, reflect the users choice and at the
very least, be shown as 29-07-1859

On selecting Ancestry.co.uk (the only place worth searching for my family) and
pressing the Search button, I get an Unrecognised Date message for the
07-29-1859 date.

Bug 2: Why, since I can't edit the date, is it being validated?

I click OK and the message is repeated giving the same date.

Bug 3: Why, seeing as there is only a single occurrence of the date is it

validated twice?
