Valerie, I save my GEDCOMs to my desktop so that they are easy to see. After I create a GEDCOM and send it to wherever I am sending it I delete it anyway. Why? Because I am adding information to my file every day and that GEDCOM because obsolete very quickly. If I need another one then I generate another one. I don't save them. When you create the GEDCOM you are given the opportunity to name the file and tell Legacy where you want it save it.
You can search your hard drive for all GEDCOM files. Using My Computer or Windows Explorer click on the C:\ drive and then in the search box type in *.ged (asterisk period ged).
