There is a known bug where the text "These are the event notes." would replace any user entered notes when they edited a shared event. That is fixed in the new GR release that was issued last night.
For an event added to an individual the [couplenames] in event sentences will use the name of the person in the event sentence in reports. For [couplenames] to work the event has to be added as a marriage event to the marriage of a couple.
