Ron,

It was our attempt to satisfy demands from some users who wanted to be
able to customize their options for each file because they use multiple
family files either for their own research or because they are
professional genealogists who use Legacy when researching for many clients.

When you have set up the options you want you can click the Options for
Default Settings button on the customize screen. There are options there
to save all your settings as Defaults. All, current Global or Current
Family File.

Once you have saved a set of Family File options as default you can load
any family file, Go to Options Customize then use that button to reset
the file to your User defaults. Repeat as necessary til all your files
use your user defaults.
