Yes. If you want to save your usr files and color schemes, then you need to back up those separately.
*However* most computer system backups will automatically back up everything in the Documents folder so if you have a regular system backup of your hard drive, as you should, whether you use Windows backup, a 3rd party program or a cloud system such as Carbonite or Mozy, then everything's most likely being backed up... The usr files and color schemes should not be backed up with the Family File since they're not part of the Family File.....
