It took a bit of work but I put the Geo database I have used for years with all my alterations into Legacy 8, and it works perfectly.
The Geo-base that comes with 8 (you must download) is HUGE and full of places that you don't want. I simply removed the new Geo-database and copy-pasted all my old files.
