What you first need to do is import one file into the other by going
to File > Import. *Then* you merge the duplicates.....  Before
importing, back up the file you're importing into (File > Backup File)

So look up "Import" first, then "Merge"  (I can't give you specifics
right now since I'm doing an update....)
