I am trying to use Family Search for first time. I logged in via web
browser on Family Search to make my ID/PW. I then created a person (for
me - that's where web wants me to start.)
But when I logged in via Legacy (using the same ID/PW) and tried to
upload myself - it did not offer to match it to what was on
FamilySearch. It just made a brand new person on Family Search.

So now there are 2 of me, with different family search record numbers.

How do I clean this up? I asked Family Search - they said to ask legacy
since Legacy software did the upload. I even asked Family Search if
they could just delete all of my entries and let me start from scratch -
but they said to check w Legacy first.

1) How do I delete the 6 entries I uploaded via Legacy (me, wife, 2
kids, and my parents)? And then how do I re-do the initial upload but
tell it that "I am me" (that is, so when it does the upload of my info
to the web, it uploads it to the ID that exists on the web).

OR
2) How to I merge the two different "me"s on the web? Do I need to add
enough on a tree branch so a dead person is on Family Search via each
system (legacy upload and direct key-in via web) so it will do a search
on the dead person and offer a match? If I do that, will it then offer
to also merge the living people?

Thanks,
Bob
