I have a Macbook Pro 15" running OSX 10.9.2 and Parallels 9.0.24172. Windows XP SP3 runs in the virtual machine provided by Parallels. Legacy 8.0.0.412 runs great in this scenario. I plan to update to Windows 7 or 8 soon because Microsoft is officially discontinuing support for Windows XP after 8 Apr 2014. I've been using Legacy in this combination for several years. Will Legacy work on a Macintosh? Every day. Ron Taylor

I would recommend you buy VMWare Fusion 6 and install on your Mac and then install Windows 7 under VMWare. Then you have Windows 7 running on your Mac and you can switch back and forth from Mac to windows as you need too. Another option is to run buy & install Parallels Desktop 9 and then install install Windows. Both systems are good. I find the VMWare is more Windows network friendly than Parallels. Don't buy the older versions of these - you need to stay current. I don't know how much RAM you got on your Mac, but running VMWare and Windows along with the Mac OS takes more than 4GB of Ram. Otherwise, you will be in S L O W W W gear trying to run the Mac OS and windows. Good luck. ___ Leon Chapman [email protected] ----- On Tue, Mar 4, 2014 at 2:23 PM, Paul Gray <[email protected]> wrote: Priscilla, > > >The short answer is that there is no such thing as legacy for Mac.
