Assuming that the event makes sense when copied - you can't cut the event from the marriage and paste it to an individual. You can copy it but you'll have to delete it from the marriage. Select the event and edit it. Then using the left of the two buttons on the right, copy it to the clipboard. Now, go to the individual, and add a new event. Then, using the second of the two buttons, paste the clipboard into the event. Voila!
