That's a useful and powerful feature that you left ticked when exporting a file so that you can see where every piece of data originated.
However, I tend only to use it when exporting a gedcom for Ancestry when I first strip my detailed sources and then source everything to me with a note on the major sources I've used and an invitation to contact me for details. If this new source is used in places where you really want it, you're in trouble and it would be easier to restore a backup before this happened and redo any data entry you've done since (or search the current database for people modified after that date and export them and then merge them into the restored file. Otherwise in the Master Source list, Highlight the source. Click the Options button and choose Delete. When you get the message that the source is being used, opt to see who is using it. On that screen you'll find the option to delete the source and all citations to it.
