Instead of asking a whole lot of questions about what Legacy v8 does and doesn't do, why don't you download it and have a look around?
It installs in a different place to previous versions, so it is easy to keep your current version and data file intact and have them both running at the same time. Just be sure to use a COPY of your data file when you open it in V8, as there is a coversion process that can't be (easily) reversed.
