Sorry, Bert, but I think you are wrong.

Before we had Event Sharing we sometimes used the Event Clipboard to
copy an Event from the first person's entry to all the other people
involved. Paul was asking for our thoughts on doing this, as opposed to
using Event Sharing.

The two processes are rather different and the results differ, but I
think it is very valid question.

Personally, I am not yet fully up to speed with Event Sharing, but I
think I will be using it more in the future. There are certain Events
where some people will use Sharing and I do/will not. For example, a
Census Event. The way I enter a Census into an Event is to use the
Description line for all the information about an individual - name,
age, birthplace etc and the Notes field to record the names and
relationship of all the other household members - "The household
comprised Joe Bloggs, his wife Jane Doe and their son Fred Bloggs." I
prefer to stick with that method.

I am, though, now using Shared Events for things like a Will (roles of
Legatee, Executor, Witness), a Marriage (role Witness), Birth & Death
Registrations (role Informant) and others.

Paula, I think you should try a few Shared Events and see how you like
it. You can do quite a lot of Role creation and customising of
Sentences so you can get a good output just as you want. The big
disadvantage, if you choose to do so, is going back and changing any
existing Events to match the new shared ones.
