This is not specifically a how to question, it's a question of can anybody explain the behaviour detailed below.
I decided to move Legacy 8 to my laptop. My first task was to install Legacy on the laptop and I did that from my original download which was version 8.0.0.353 from 25 Nov. The desktop version is now at 8.0.0.414 but the laptop is stubbornly insisting that 8.0.0.353 is the current version. As yet I have not moved my files as I am hoping that Legacy 8 will invite me to update to the latest version. I run the software each day and from time to time I get the "check for updates" message under the version number but clicking it has no effect and it switches back to insisting I have the latest version.
