I suspect I'm just blonder than usual, but I'll ask anyway.

What exactly will "Find unattached media" find for me?  As
in, I have numerous small ffs created for a specific
purpose.  I have images from 5 of my own digi-cams, from
several friends' cameras, from scans of old photos, scans of
books, maps, etc.  Not to mention mpgs of people reading
children's books, or recording various household sounds. At
a guess, more than 25% of it is NOT appropriate for
inclusion in any of my ffs, and certainly the pics of a HS
classmate's daughter's wedding aren't my-family-related.

Surely, "Find unattached media" isn't going to make me slog
through all those each time I run it from a different ff?
Or is it?
