I did have a few problems - one serious one - when I first moved over to
version 8, but Legacy staff were very helpful over the serious problem
(which was fixed) and most of the little glitches that people found were
soon dealt with.

There are several ways, and not just cosmetic ones - in which Legacy 8
is better than earlier versions. If you are still using Legacy 6 then
you have denied yourself many improvements and advanced facilities, but
if you feel you don't need them then that obviously isn't a problem to
you. You will, though, find it increasingly difficult to get support as
Legacy 6 becomes more and more a distant memory.

I am sorry you feel you haven't had any help from here, Lloyd, but you
should remember that this list is chiefly a users-helping-user group.
There will be times when someone posts in with a question to which none
of the LUGgers know the answer. I'm sure I'm not the only one who
definitely does not want the list flooded with messages from people just
saying "I don't know." We are fortunately that members of the Support
staff do spend time here and will often post solutions to specific
problems or will answer specific questions about the software, but if
you feel you have identified a bug this should be notified to Legacy via
the link on the Legacy Home tag and if you have a particular difficulty
in using the software you should contact Support directly.
