No, you don't have to change them.
Legacy 8 works differently re sentences.
Sources and Notes being included is controlled by different things - that's all.
The codes for them are only needed in sentences if you want them in a different 
place.

I happen to prefer the old system but the new one works OK once you get used to 
it and has added another level of customisation.
In Legacy 7, if you did want a summary report without event notes, you had to 
edit all the event sentences to remove [Notes]. In Legacy 8, you just have to 
untick one box in the Report Options.
Or you can do it event by event in the Event Sentence Definition there is a 
checkbox for Add Notes to Sentences.

Also see Options 7.10 for whether sources are added before or after the Notes.
