I copied what I found in the Help file for Legacy in the topic of "Entering
Dates in Date Fields", accessed by looking at "Dates: Approximating" or
"Dates: Entering" in the Help index, and it *is* supported as I stated in
my previous email.

You are correct that it's not in Options > Customize 5.7 but it wasn't
listed there in v7.5 either.

Est *is* supported in Legacy v8.  There is *no* complaint from Legacy if
you wish to use that for a date prefix.
