Kinda curious about this Fort Knox issue. I am guessing that Fort Knox is Federal property. Counties are usually subsets of state jurisdictions, have officials, budgets, etc. Is it likely that Federal lands are not subsets of the state, and therefore do not belong to any county?
Again, timing is critical......was this Federal land at the time of birth? If YES, then probably no county records,but may be some type of federal records? If NO, then a county probably did have control at that time, need to research its name and the county seat in that period.
