If I were to see the parents on both sides of the LFS panels, and in
blue fonts then I would expect to be able to add the child. In any
case, if the parents are already in FT, but not yet linked to those in
my db, FT handles the process so badly, that I am obliged to first go
into FT, find the parents in there, and then add the child to the
couple, using FT and the child's FSID. What I see in your screen print
is that the links to parents are broken already, and they only show on
your side of the panels.
I think the FT programmers should be spending their time getting basic
processes to work right before seeking for glory in other areas that are
of lesser importance. Adding parents to a child in FT doesn't work
right there, so we shouldn't expect LFS to have a way of overcoming
their deficiencies. When you are working in FT and a parent couple
exists there, and you try to add one of the parents to a child, the
program will make a new parent relationship (without asking) that
doesn't include the other parent of the child! What are they
thinking???? If they ever fix that, I hope someone will let us know.
(I just sent a post using the FT Help Center which included this
last paragraph)
