I did look this up in Help.
I will submit a suggestion that the following two paragraphs in the "Master
Locations List" help, say "when the Show People box is checked" and "when the
Show Map box is checked" - it did take me more than one click in Help from the
Master Location List window to find these... I was looking near the end, since
they are the last two things in the window.

To the right of the list of locations is the People using this
location box. The box shows which individual in your family file are using
the currently highlighted location. (If multiple locations are selected use
Options > Show List to show all the people using the selected
group of locations.)

Below the list of locations is a map of the current location. To see
the map you must have Internet access and be online. See Master
Location Mappingfor complete information on
how to view, navigate, and print the maps.

Anyway, when I went to Master Location Mapping, I found my answer... sort of.
It says
Whenever the Master Location List screen is
displayed, the current location in the list is shown on a map in the lower half
of the window. (Unless you have the Show Map option unchecked or you are
not connected to the Internet.)

I do have Show Map checked and I am connected to the internet (I'm sending this
email).

Any suggestions on what I should look for or do to see the map? Do I have to
have Bing installed on my computer?? Do I have to have the Geo Code database
installed???
Thanks in advance,
