I'm afraid I can't really understand what you are saying your problem is. If you are using the Backup procedure which is built into Legacy, this will backup your family file and all the files which are associated with it and if you need to revert to this backup you use the Restore File function in Legacy. It is perfectly fine (in fact advisable) to backup to an external medium such as a USB hard disk. If you restore the backup you just need to point Legacy to where the backup is stored. You can also backup all the media which is attached in Legacy. This is done from the same place that you initiate the data backup, but to restore the media you need to use an external program which handles zip files, such as Winzip or the function built in to Windows. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
